Little Red Fruit Bats
Little red fruit bats (Pteropus scapulatus) feed noisily at night in the blossoms of the Darwin Stringybark (Eucalyptus tetradonta). Thanks to the Darwin Wildlife Sanctuary I was able to watch and sketch these delightful animals which were being rehabilitated for release back into the wild.
