Toadstools

I was introduced to metalpoint drawing by Sarah Simblet at the Ruskin and have shared my enthusiasm with the Art Educators NT at a workshop during my exhibition at Darwin Visual Arts. It is a precise, unforgiving way of drawing that makes me grateful for the invention of the HB Pencil, but for certain subjects it is perfect. It can be combined with other media such as watercolour, or in the case of these toadstools, gouache
